Now it was time to take the first step. The next morning, Isaac put on a clean shirt, laced up his work boots, and grabbed a small stack of flyers he had made with his parents. He took a deep breath. "This is it," he whispered. His dad smiled. "Are you nervous?" "A little." "That's okay," his dad said. "Being brave doesn't mean you're never nervous. It means you do the right thing anyway." Isaac nodded. He walked to the first house and knocked on the door. A few moments later, an older man answered with a friendly smile. "Good morning!" "Good morning, sir," Isaac said politely. "My name is Isaac, and I just started a lawn care business called Kingdom Lawns. I was wondering if you or someone you know might ever need help mowing, trimming, edging, or cleaning up a yard." The man looked impressed. "Well, I don't need help today," he said, "but I like seeing a young man willing to work hard." He accepted the flyer. "I'll keep this. And I'll tell my neighbors about you." Isaac smiled. "Thank you, sir. I appreciate it." As he walked down the driveway, he realized something. The hardest part had been knocking on the first door. Each house after that became a little easier. Some people already had someone mowing their yard. Some thanked him but weren't interested. Others encouraged him and wished him success. Every conversation helped him grow more confident. That afternoon, as Isaac was putting away his flyers, his phone rang. His mom answered. Then she smiled. "Isaac," she called. "I think someone is asking for you." Isaac hurried over. "Hello?" A cheerful voice spoke on the other end. "Hi, Isaac. My neighbor gave me one of your flyers. I was wondering if you could come give me an estimate for mowing my lawn." Isaac's eyes lit up. "Yes, ma'am! I'd be happy to." After hanging up, he looked at his parents with the biggest smile on his face. "My first estimate!" His dad grinned. "Looks like Kingdom Lawns is officially open for business."
