Mollie, with her bright eyes and pigtails, skipped excitedly beside her Nan and older sister, Susie, as they entered the brightly lit supermarket. The automatic doors slid open with a whoosh, revealing rows and rows of colorful products.
Their eyes widened as they entered the toy aisle, a vibrant wonderland of possibilities. Mollie's gaze immediately locked onto a fluffy, adorable toy dog. It sat on a shelf, its button eyes seeming to sparkle at her.
Without a second thought, Mollie, her heart set on the cuddly pup, carefully lifted it from the shelf. She glanced around to make sure no one was watching, then slyly tucked the dog under her dressing gown, hoping to sneak it home.
As they approached the checkout, Susie noticed the telltale bulge under Mollie's gown. Her brow furrowed with concern, she gently nudged Mollie and whispered, 'What have you got there?'
Mollie's face crumpled as Susie insisted she put the toy dog back. Tears welled up in Mollie's eyes as she reluctantly returned the toy to its shelf. Nan, however, smiled, her heart swelling with pride for both girls.
Back at home, Nan gave Mollie and Susie a warm hug. 'I'm proud of you both,' she said, her voice filled with love. Though Mollie was sad about not having the dog, she knew that Susie’s gentle guidance and Nan’s love made the day a wonderful one.
Mollie(5) and Susie (8) go to the supermarket with Nan. Mollie sees a toy dog and hides it under her dressing gown. At the checkout Susie sees what Mollie doing and makes her put it back Mollie cries but Nan is proud of them
