Daniel and the Roaring Friends!

Daniel was a very kind and smart man who loved God with all his heart. Every day, he would open his window and pray, thanking God for everything. He always had a happy, peaceful smile on his face.

King Darius, who ruled the land, liked Daniel very much. He saw how wise and honest Daniel was and made him a very important helper in the kingdom. They worked together to make the land a good place.

But some other helpers were not happy. They were jealous of Daniel and whispered sneaky plans to each other. They wanted to find a way to get Daniel into trouble.

These jealous helpers tricked King Darius into making a silly new law. For thirty days, no one could pray to anyone but the King! The King signed the scroll, not realizing the trouble it would cause.

Daniel heard about the new law, but he didn't stop praying. Just like always, he knelt by his open window and prayed to God, knowing God was bigger than any law. His heart was full of trust.

The sneaky helpers watched Daniel and saw him praying. They quickly ran to King Darius, pointing their fingers and telling him that Daniel had broken the new law.

King Darius was very sad and upset when he heard the news. He liked Daniel and knew he had been tricked. He tried all day long to find a way to save Daniel, but a king's law could not be changed.

So, Daniel was taken to a dark den filled with big, roaring lions. But Daniel wasn't scared; he trusted God. The lions looked at him with big, gentle eyes, and not one of them hurt him.

Early the next morning, King Darius rushed to the lion's den. "Daniel, Daniel!" he called out, his voice full of worry and hope. He wondered if Daniel's God had protected him.

And guess what? Daniel was safe! He smiled brightly, sitting calmly among the sleepy lions. King Darius was overjoyed and praised God for saving Daniel from the roaring friends.
