Hussein's Big Goal

Hussein wakes up early on a sunny Saturday morning. He sees his black and white soccer ball sitting right next to his bed. Today is a special day for a game at the park.

He puts on his bright red jersey and his favorite blue shorts. Hussein sits on the floor and ties his shoelaces very carefully. He is ready to run and play.

Hussein walks to the big green park with his water bottle in his hand. His friends are already there waiting for him. They all wave and smile as he arrives.

The soccer game begins and all the children run very fast. Hussein watches the ball move across the green grass. He stays focused and waits for his chance to play.

Suddenly, the ball comes right to Hussein's feet. He keeps the ball close and dribbles past a tall player. He feels very fast and strong as he moves down the field.

Two players from the other team try to take the ball away. Hussein looks up and sees his friend Leo standing open. He kicks the ball quickly to Leo.

Leo runs down the side of the field and then looks back at Hussein. He passes the ball back to Hussein right in front of the goal. This is the big moment.

Hussein takes a deep breath and looks at the white net. He swings his leg back and kicks the ball with all his power. The ball zooms across the grass.

The ball flies through the air and hits the back of the net. The goalie jumps but he cannot catch it. Hussein scores a wonderful goal for his team!

All of his friends run to Hussein and give him big high fives. They are all very happy and proud of their teamwork. It is a great day to play soccer.
