Vanessa, just a regular teenage girl somehow manages to drag herself and her best friends, Gabriel (main best friend and crush...and he knows it), Elizabeth (an artistic girl), and Alivia (a snarky and sarcastic girl who tends to bully all of them in a non-mean way) into a Disney-like fairy tale world through a well during a random museum field trip and they gain new roles and are told that they have to complete the story by defeating the enemy to go back to their world. Vanessa becomes a courageous but sometimes naive princess and main protagonist (with a crush on the main antagonist), Gabriel becomes this regal, power hungry, charming, sometimes flirtatious on purpose, mysterious, and evil vampire prince, Elizabeth becomes this mage who's magic mostly revolves around her artistic talents, and Alivia becomes this headstrong knight who's here for the thrill of the fight. When they arrive, they immediately get dragged away by some fairies where they explaining that the world has been shrouded in darkness and shadows thanks to the vampire prince and the princess protagonist needs to defeat him to bring light, magic, and color back to the world. During the middle of the story the girls are trying to lay low and figure out and plan on how to defeat Gabriel, and due to the fact that Gabriel knows Vanessa has a crush on him, he uses that to his advantage and tries to manipulate her by having his bat minions kidnap her and put her under his spell, but during the climax Alivia and Elizabeth save her and bring her back to her senses, then during the battle because this is a Disney-type of fairytale he just turns into a bat-dragon hybrid creature in the middle of the fight. And Vanessa uses the power of love to bring him back to his senses and defeat the darkness that has a hold on him.
