Tom’s Growing ClothesMy name is Tom. I am 10 years old. I have blue eyes and short brown hair. I am growing bigger every day. This is a very normal thing that happens to all boys as they get older.I have many clothes in my wardrobe. Some are my favourite shirts and trousers. Sometimes, I like the way they feel or how they look.As I grow taller and bigger, my body changes. This means that some of my clothes start to feel tight. They might feel different on my skin or be hard to put on. When a shirt is too small, it is called "growing out" of it.Many people find it hard to say goodbye to things they like. My Mum and Dad care about me and want me to be comfortable. They know that when clothes are too small, it is time for them to go to a new place. When I grow out of my clothes, I can try to stay calm. I can look at the clothes one last time. We might put them in a special bag to give to other children who are smaller than me. This is a very kind thing to do.If I feel sad, I can tell Mum or Dad. They will listen to me.After we move the small clothes, I will have space for new clothes that fit my 10-year-old body. These new clothes will feel comfortable and give my arms and legs plenty of room to move.Growing up is a big job, and I am doing a great job at it.
