Addie's Great Addition Adventure

Addie the Squirrel skips through the golden forest, spotting three round acorns under a tall oak tree and two more tucked behind a mossy rock. She tucks them into her tiny woven basket, counting five treasures in total as she starts her busy day.

Down by the babbling brook, Addie meets her friend Pip the Rabbit, who carries four crunchy orange carrots. Addie already has four carrots in her pantry, and together they realize they now have eight delicious snacks for the party.

The two friends discover a hidden clearing filled with six bright red strawberries and three sweet blueberries. As they pick them one by one, they see their collection growing to nine colorful berries.

Addie wants the party table to look beautiful, so she picks five sunny yellow dandelions and five royal purple clovers. With a smile, she counts ten flowers, making a perfect, balanced bouquet.

High up in the Great Pine, Oliver the Owl offers seven sturdy pinecones and four smooth walnuts from his hollow. Addie adds them to her pile, carefully calculating that she now has eleven forest treats from her wise friend.

While resting near the sparkling pond, the duo finds eight flat skipping stones and two shimmering spiral shells. They line them up on the sand, totaling ten decorations to line the forest path.

The autumn wind blows, dropping nine bright yellow leaves and six fiery orange leaves right into their path. Addie and Pip gather them all, excited to have fifteen colorful decorations to hang from the branches.

A friendly bluejay flies down, dropping ten tiny sunflower seeds and five striped pumpkin seeds into Addie’s paws. The little squirrel counts them up to fifteen seeds, perfect for a crunchy party snack.

It is time to send out invitations to six fluffy squirrels and seven bouncy rabbits from the neighboring meadow. Addie counts on her paws and realizes thirteen friends will be joining the celebration tonight.

The sun sets as the forest glows with lanterns, and all the gathered items are spread out for everyone to enjoy. Addie feels proud of her hard work and her clever counting, realizing that adding things together makes everything more fun.
