Annie's Apple Adventure

Annie the Ant discovers a giant, shiny red apple resting on the soft green grass. She stands next to the fruit, looking tiny but very excited about her big find in the bright morning sun.

To protect herself from the hot sun, Annie puts on a tiny yellow sun hat. She looks very stylish as she prepares for her long journey across the backyard garden.

Annie carefully packs a small tan bag with everything she might need for her trip. She slings the strap over her shoulder and stands ready for a grand adventure through the tall weeds.

Along the way, Annie encounters a very fat ginger cat sleeping soundly on a colorful woven mat. The cat's long tail twitches slightly in the warm afternoon breeze.

Beside the sleeping cat lies a crinkled paper map with a secret path drawn in dark ink. Annie peers at the map, realizing it leads to a hidden treasure hidden deep in the garden patch.

Annie and her new cat friend walk together through a thick patch of tall green grass. The blades of grass tower over Annie like giant trees as they march forward toward the garden fence.

In a small patch of dry sand, Annie spots something sparkling and bright. It is a beautiful blue glass bead that shimmers like a star under the midday sun.

Suddenly, dark clouds gather and big raindrops start to fall from the sky. Annie and the cat quickly take cover under a giant, waxy green cabbage leaf until the rain stops.

Once the sky clears, they sit together on a flat rock to share a tasty snack of sweet strawberry jam. They are both very glad to have a new friend to share their afternoon meal with.

As the sun sets, Annie returns to her cozy anthill feeling very happy and content. She waves goodbye to the cat, thankful for a wonderful day filled with fun and adventure.
