KC, a cheerful young man with wide eyes, strides down a ridiculously long, brightly lit corridor in a lab building. Behind him, cartoonishly large doors, each with a tiny peephole window, swing open and close with a playful "whoosh," as if by an invisible, mischievous hand. KC looks over his shoulder with a quizzical, slightly amused expression.
Inside a vibrant, colorful lab filled with bubbling beakers and oversized gadgets, KC discovers a laser gun. It looks like a super-fun toy, complete with a glowing glass orb containing a tiny, cartoon brain. With a curious grin, KC presses the "on" button, making the orb pulse with rainbow light before he quickly switches it off, a nervous sweat drop forming on his brow.
With eyes wide and a comical dash, KC bursts out of the lab, clutching the toy laser gun to his chest. The corridor behind him remains eerily quiet, but a sense of unseen presence lingers, making KC's legs pump like pistons in an exaggerated sprint. He glances back, a mix of relief and lingering apprehension on his face.
KC stumbles into a brightly decorated office, where his ex-boss, the kind-faced Soo San, is working. Suddenly, three stern-faced enforcers, with oversized uniforms and serious expressions, march towards them. Soo San, with a quick wink, gestures for KC to hide the laser gun in her giant, colorful desk drawer.
The enforcers, holding comical handheld scanners that resemble oversized remote controls, check everyone's fingers. When one scans KC's finger, it blares a dramatic red "BEEP!" KC, with a frantic grin, quickly wipes his hands on a cartoonishly wet tissue. The next scan turns a triumphant green, and the enforcers, looking slightly confused, eventually move on.
As KC and Soo San stroll through a whimsical garden bursting with giant, fantastical flowers, massive, cartoonish turrets loom along the path. One of these turrets, shaped like a friendly but imposing robot, suddenly swivels, points directly at KC, and emits a comical "BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!" alarm, making KC jump with a startled yelp before it inexplicably stops.
The peaceful garden erupts into chaotic fun as alarms blare and strange, goofy-looking mutated creatures, with wobbly limbs and silly grins, flood the area. The turrets, now enthusiastically firing harmless-looking laser beams, add to the cheerful pandemonium. Everyone runs around with exaggerated, cartoonish panic, creating a whirlwind of bright colors and funny movements.
Amidst the joyful chaos, colorful evacuation buses arrive, and a booming announcement instructs everyone to gather by their team colors. KC, remembering his team is green, races to the green counter. He eagerly scans a ridiculously long list of names, his face lighting up with relief as he spots his name and the magical number "9902."
KC's triumphant grin turns into a comical frown as he sees a sneaky, mischievous-looking stranger snatch a bright green jersey with a giant "9902" on it. With an indignant shout, KC leaps into action, a blur of cartoon motion, playfully wrestling the jersey back. He pulls it on with a victorious flourish and hops onto the bus, beaming.
Inside the bus, which bounces wildly over exaggerated, bumpy terrain, KC chats happily with his old friend, Kai Chong. As they finally reach safety, they look back to see the facility explode in a spectacular, colorful, cartoon-like mushroom cloud. At a checkpoint, they playfully discard their jerseys, getting sprayed by friendly, bubbly chemicals, leaving KC wondering with a thoughtful, whimsical expression if he's truly "clean."
Today is KC's first day at this new company he just joined. He finds himself working in a very large campus facility with various smaller buildings in the perimeter. The facility has cafeteria next to a nice gardens, office blocks, and lab buildings. One day, KC was walking alone in one of the buildings that houses the labs. There's a long corridor with many doors separating the hallway. Each door has a small window at the eye level. As KC push the door and walk across the hallway, he heard the doors behind him open and close. Through the small window he notice the door is opening by itself. It must be something very short that is opening the door and I couldn't see anyone opening the door through the small eye level window, KC thought. KC then went into one of the lab and found a laser gun on the lab's that look like those toy laser gun. Attached to the gun barrel is a glass orb with a miniature brain encased in it. There's an "on/off" button. KC turned it on and the glass orb started glowing and seems ready to be fired. KC hastily turned it back off. At this point, the unseen creature that seems to be opening the door seems to be getting nearer. KC dashed out form the lab carrying the laser gun. Thankfully the creature didn't follow them. KC then walk into an office and met his ex-boss, and older lady named Soo San. They saw several men came walking towards them. They were the company's enforcers to detect if anyone is contaminated. Soo San ordered KC to hide the laser gun inside her drawer. The enforcers came with handheld scanners to scan everyone at their fingers, and when they scan KC's fingers, the scanner beeped red. KC told the enforcer saying it must have been a mistake. He quickly wiped his hands with some wet tissue and scanned again. This time, it was green. The enforcers scanned several times again, and it's green. After the enforcers left, Soo San invited KC to go to the cafeteria for some coffee. As they walk along the garden of the facility towards the cafeteria, KC notice there were 20 feet tall large turrets along the way. Suddenly one of the turrets pointed at KC and beeped an alarm. KC was shocked. But somehow after a while, it stopped and didn't do anything. KC and Soo San went ahead and had coffee at the cafeteria. But less than a few minutes, alarm blared and the garden is now over run by strange, mutated creatures. It turns out this company is doing experimentation to create biological weapons, experimenting with human and animals. And the lasers turrets started firing at those creatures. It was chaos and everyone was running for their lives. Then, busses start to arrive. There was an announcement asking everyone to gather according to their colors. KC remembered his team was green. So he went to the green counter. The officer in charge of the green counter announced "Not everyone has a slot to evacuate, only those who are not contaminated. Please find your name on this list , and find the corresponding 4 digit number, and then get look for the green jersey with that 4 digit printed on it. Please hurry up as an airstrike will be launched at this facility to blow up everything". KC hurriedly look for his name, much to his relief, he found his name there, and the number "9902". Then he look for his jersey. But another unknown guy took a green jersey with huge number "9902" written on it's chest. KC shouted to him "That is my number, why are you taking my jersey". The guy tried to run away, but KC manage to over power him and took back the jersey and put it on. Then he was allowed to hop on the bus. On the bus, KC met Kai Chong, his ex-college mate. They chatted a while. Kai Chong was saying that this isn't the first time this happened, and the company will find a new location, and start the lab experiments again. The bus goes through a very rough terrain, very steep valleys that many instances , it felt like the bus is not going to make it. They finally reach a safe point. Kai Chong and KC was very relieved they manage to get out alive, as they see in the horizon the facility is being destroyed by air strikes. They reached a check point where they were ordered to discard their jersey. There were people in cleanroom suit spraying the evacuees with chemical. KC Felt relieved, but he was thinking again, is he really clean? Or is he infected? Only time will tell.
