Rio and the Pink Dress

Rio is a happy four-year-old boy who loves every color of the rainbow. He sits on his bedroom floor playing with his bright yellow blocks and blue truck.

While looking for his teddy bear, Rio finds a big wooden chest in the corner of the room. He opens the lid and finds something very soft and very pink.

It is a beautiful pink dress with tiny sparkly stars all over it. Rio thinks it looks like a magical sunset and feels very soft against his hands.

Rio pulls the pink dress over his head and looks at himself in the big mirror. He feels very special and starts to wiggle his toes with excitement.

Rio runs out into the sunny garden where the grass is green and the sky is blue. The bright pink dress looks like a pretty flower moving in the wind.

He starts to twirl and twirl in circles under the big oak tree. The dress spins out wide, and Rio feels just like a happy butterfly.

His friend Mia comes over to the fence and sees Rio dancing. She claps her hands and tells Rio that his pink dress is the coolest outfit she has ever seen.

Rio and Mia play tag across the soft grass, laughing as they run. The pink dress flutters behind Rio like a superhero's cape as he zooms past the flowers.

Rio’s mommy comes outside and gives him a big, warm hug. She tells Rio that she loves his happy smile and that he looks wonderful in his favorite colors.

When the sun starts to set, Rio feels tired but very happy. He learns that the best thing in the world is to be yourself and play with all the colors you love.
