The Silly Site: Barnaby's Big Day

Barnaby the bulldozer arrives at the construction site wearing a bright yellow bowtie. He wants everything to look fancy and polished before the big day of work begins.

Mixie the Cement Mixer accidentally gets a shipment of strawberry syrup instead of water. She starts churning out the world’s largest pink milkshake, blowing sweet-smelling bubbles all over the site.

Tallulah the Crane spots a fluffy white cloud that looks just like a sheep. She swings her long arm high into the sky, trying to catch the cloud with her hook as if she were fishing.

Barnaby finds a tiny, lonely dandelion growing in the middle of a dirt path. Instead of pushing it over, he uses his big blade to gently build a protective little brick wall around the flower.

Rusty the Dump Truck discovers a pile of shiny discarded hubcaps and thinks he has found pirate treasure. He proudly dumps the 'gold' into a sparkling heap and guards it with a happy honk.

Percy the Steamroller sees a giant mound of pizza dough at the bakery right next to the site. He decides to help out, rolling the dough until it is flat enough to cover the entire sidewalk.

During the afternoon break, the machines decide to play a game of hide-and-seek. Barnaby 'hides' behind a single skinny telephone pole, covering his eyes and hoping no one can see his giant yellow body.

The site manager unrolls a serious blueprint for a new office building, but the machines have added their own drawings. Now the plan includes a giant curly slide that goes from the roof all the way to a sandbox.

A flock of colorful birds lands on Tallulah’s long metal arm, and she begins to swing gently back and forth. She decides she is no longer a crane, but the world’s tallest bird-feeder and playground swing.

As the sun sets over the site, the machines are tired but happy after their day of silly surprises. They tuck themselves in under giant blue tarps, dreaming of the funny adventures they will have tomorrow.
