The Night the Moon Played Hide-and-Seek

High above the sleeping world, Lumi the little moon felt a wave of shyness wash over her. The night sky felt too vast, and everyone was looking, so she gently pulled a soft, fluffy blanket of dark clouds over her glowing face.

Suddenly, the velvet sky grew dim, plunging the meadows and forests below into deep shadow. The stars blinked in surprise, realizing their brightest friend had vanished from her usual velvety perch.

A brave little star named Pippin stepped forward, his golden points twinkling with determination. He called out to his brothers and sisters, rallying them to form a grand search party to find their missing friend.

The stars scattered across the cosmos, peekaboo-ing behind planets and sliding down cosmic dust trails. They checked behind giant purple nebulae and inside Saturn's icy rings, but Lumi was nowhere to be found.

Back behind her cloud, Lumi peeked through a tiny tear in the mist and saw her friends searching so hard for her. Her heart swelled with warmth, causing her silver light to accidentally spill out from the edges of her hiding place.

Pippin noticed the soft silver fringe glowing behind the dark cloud and pointed his bright cosmic lantern toward it. He whispered a gentle message into the night wind, telling Lumi how much they missed her beautiful glow.

One by one, hundreds of stars gathered around the cloud, not to stare, but to hold hands and sing a sweet, twinkling lullaby of friendship. They created a sparkling ring of light, showing Lumi that she was safe and cherished.

Comforted by the melody and the warmth of her friends, Lumi slowly pushed the heavy cloud blanket aside. She offered a timid, glowing smile, realizing she didn't need to hide her light from those who loved her.
