Kavi's Golden Kolam: A Tamil Family Story

Kavi wakes up early to the soothing sound of morning ragas playing softly in her family's bright home. Sunlight streams through the open courtyard, illuminating the vibrant brass lamps resting near the entryway. Today is a special family gathering, and the entire house is already filled with warm excitement.

Paati, Kavi's grandmother, sits on the cool veranda with a wooden bowl filled with fine white rice flour.
