बहुत समय पहले Mughal Empire के दौर में भारत के एक छोटे से गाँव के पास एक पुराना किला था। लोग कहते थे कि उस किले में कभी एक बहादुर सेनापति रहता था, जिसका नाम वीर प्रताप था। वीर प्रताप अपने राजा के सबसे भरोसेमंद योद्धा थे। जब दुश्मनों ने राज्य पर हमला किया, तब उन्होंने अपनी छोटी सेना के साथ पूरे किले की रक्षा की। कई दिनों तक युद्ध चलता रहा, लेकिन उन्होंने हार नहीं मानी। एक रात दुश्मनों ने गुप्त रास्ते से किले में घुसने की कोशिश की। वीर प्रताप को यह पता चल गया। उन्होंने अपने सैनिकों के साथ मिलकर उस रास्ते को बंद कर दिया और दुश्मनों को पीछे हटने पर मजबूर कर दिया। युद्ध खत्म होने के बाद राजा ने वीर प्रताप को “राज्य का रक्षक” कहा। लेकिन कुछ साल बाद वह किला धीरे-धीरे वीरान हो गया। आज भी गाँव के लोग कहते हैं कि रात में किले की दीवारों से तलवारों की आवाज़ सुनाई देती है, जैसे वीर प्रताप अब भी अपने राज्य की रक्षा कर रहे हों। इसलिए वह किला आज भी लोगों के लिए साहस और वफादारी की निशानी माना जाता है।
