There are so many mangoes!” they said happily. “I got 1, 2, 3, 4 mangoes!” said Quian. “How many mangoes did you get, Wea?” asked Quian. “I got 1, 2, 3 mangoes,” answered Wea. “How about you, Zion?” asked Quian. “I didn’t pick many. I only got 2 mangoes,” said Zion. “Let’s count how many mangoes we have altogether,” Zion suggested. They counted together, “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.” They were very happy with the 9 mangoes they picked. Suddenly, it started to rain. “Oh no! What are we going to do? We don’t have an umbrella!” cried Wea. “There’s a hut over there. Let’s go!” said Zion. The three best friends ran quickly to the nearby hut. They waited there until the rain stopped. While waiting, they agreed to share the 9 mangoes equally among the three of them. “How will we do it?” asked Quian. Wea took 1 mango for herself, gave 1 to Zion, and gave 1 to Quian.
