May you always remember that God is bigger than every worry, stronger than every storm, and closer than you could ever imagine. The Little Sparrow Who Learned to Trust High among the branches of the oldest oak tree in the valley lived a tiny sparrow named Sunny. The tree stood at the edge of a beautiful meadow where wildflowers danced in the breeze, butterflies floated through the air, and every morning the birds filled the sky with joyful songs. Sunny loved listening to the music of the forest. He loved watching the sunrise paint the clouds with soft shades of gold and pink. He loved hearing the wind whisper through the leaves. But even though Sunny loved the beautiful world God had made... Sunny worried. He worried about almost everything. "What if I can't fly as high as the other birds?" "What if I get lost?" "What if I can't find enough food?" "What if a storm comes?" Every day his mind filled with "what if" questions. Mama Sparrow noticed. One morning she wrapped her warm wings around Sunny and smiled. "My little bird," she whispered gently, "do you remember what Jesus said?" Sunny looked up with wide eyes. Mama softly quoted the words from the Bible. "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them." She gently touched his tiny beak. "If God cares for every bird, don't you think He will take care of you?" Sunny wasn't sure. But he wanted to believe it. The next morning the whole forest woke with excitement. Bluebirds darted through the trees. Cardinals sang cheerful songs. Robins searched the ground for breakfast. Sunny watched them from his nest. Today felt different. Maybe... Just maybe... He could try. He stretched his tiny wings. He took a deep breath. Flap. Flap. Flap. Before he knew it, he was soaring through the bright blue sky. The meadow spread beneath him like a colorful quilt. Yellow flowers. Purple flowers. Red flowers. Butterflies floated between blossoms while rabbits hopped through the tall grass. Sunny laughed. "God made all of this!" For the very first time, fear gave way to wonder. But suddenly the sunshine disappeared. Dark clouds rolled across the sky. The wind grew stronger. Rain began to fall. Lightning flashed far away. Thunder echoed through the valley. Sunny's little heart raced. He wanted to turn back. Instead, he remembered Mama's words. "God takes care of every bird." So he whispered, "God is with me." Again. "God is with me." Every flap of his wings became just a little stronger. Soon he spotted an old red barn. He hurried inside. Warm hay covered the floor. There he met two rabbits, three tiny mice, a sleepy kitten, and an old gray donkey with kind eyes. "Welcome," smiled the donkey. "We've been waiting for you." Sunny looked surprised. "You were?" The donkey nodded. "Storms have a way of bringing friends together." As rain tapped softly against the roof, the animals shared stories. The rabbits shared carrots. The mice shared crumbs. The kitten curled beside Sunny to keep him warm. The donkey smiled. "Storms come." "But storms never stay forever." "And God stays with us through every single one." Sunny looked around. He realized something amazing. Before he even knew he needed help... God had already prepared a safe place. When the rain finally stopped, sunshine poured through the barn doors. Outside stretched the brightest rainbow Sunny had ever seen. Its beautiful colors reached from one side of the valley to the other. Sunny flew home with joy in his heart. Mama Sparrow hugged him tightly. "I was worried." "I know," Sunny smiled. "But God took care of me." That evening every bird gathered in the great oak tree. They filled the evening sky with songs of praise. Sunny sang louder than anyone. Not because life would never have storms again... But because he finally understood something wonderful. Trusting God doesn't mean we will never feel afraid. It means we never face our fears alone. Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. Sunny grew stronger. He flew farther than he ever imagined. Whenever a young bird felt afraid to leave the nest, Sunny would sit beside them. "I used to be scared too," he would say. Then together they would whisper, "God is with me." Again. "God is with me." One more time. "God is with me." Little by little, the frightened birds found coura
