Aneelim lives on the planet Htrae, the opposite of Earth. It's a modern world in a modern town, an awful dictatorship disguised as utopia. When she was around seven, she met Aivilo, who became her best friend. When she was ten, Aivilo helped her jump over the cement border of the city, thus making Aneelim free. Now she's thirteen and lives in the forest, Aivilo supplying her on occasion with what she needs. Aneelim is now known as the Runaway, being the only name Aivilo can use to make sure no one knows where Aneelim had gone. Aneelim uses this codename to communicate with Aivilo, who's been dubbed the nickname of "Secret Keeper."
