Charlotte's Big Girl Bed

Three-year-old Charlotte loves everything about her mom and dad's room, especially the giant, fluffy pillows and the way she can snuggle right between them. Every evening, she giggles and wiggles her way under their big, warm blankets, feeling like the center of the world.

But tonight, Mom and Dad gently lead Charlotte by the hand into her own bedroom, where a beautiful little bed with bright, star-patterned sheets is waiting just for her. They explain that just like birds have nests and bears have dens, big girls have their very own special sleep spaces.

Charlotte climbs into her bed, tucked in tightly with her favorite plush bear, Barnaby. Her parents kiss her forehead and whisper that she will get the brightest, happiest dreams right here in her cozy castle.

During the night, Charlotte wakes up to a strange shadow on the wall and feels a little bit scared. She runs into her parents' room, and Dad kindly lifts her up, reminding her that they are always there to protect her when she feels frightened.
