Laiza and the Scared Puppy One late afternoon, a kind and caring girl named Laiza was walking home when she noticed a small puppy hiding near the side of the road. The puppy looked frightened, dirty, and hungry. Laiza felt sorry for him and slowly approached. “It's okay, little puppy. You don't have to be scared anymore,” Laiza said gently. The puppy slowly came closer to her. Laiza carefully picked him up and decided to take him home. She named him Thunder because she thought the name was strong and special. At home, Laiza gave Thunder some food and clean water. She prepared a comfortable place for him to sleep and made sure he was safe. As the days passed, Laiza and Thunder became very close. Thunder followed her around the house, and Laiza always made sure he had enough food and water. One afternoon, Laiza decided to take Thunder to the plaza. They walked around together while enjoying the beautiful view. Thunder happily wagged his tail as they passed by the trees and benches. “Look, Thunder. Isn't it beautiful here?” Laiza said with a smile. Thunder wagged his tail and stayed close to Laiza. After walking for several hours, Laiza became tired and decided to sit on a bench. Suddenly, she remembered something. “Oh no! I forgot my tumbler at home,” Laiza said. She realized that she needed some water, so she went to a nearby store to buy a bottle. Before leaving, she thought Thunder would stay beside the bench. When Laiza returned, however, Thunder was gone. “Thunder? Where are you?” she called. She looked around the bench, but Thunder was nowhere to be seen. Her heart began to beat faster. “Thunder! Come here, boy! Where are you?” she shouted. Laiza searched around the plaza. She checked near the benches, behind the trees, and around the places where they had walked earlier. She became worried that something might have happened to him. “Please be okay, Thunder,” she whispered. Just when she was about to give up, she heard a familiar sound. “Woof! Woof!” Laiza's eyes widened. “Thunder!” she happily exclaimed. She followed the sound and found Thunder sitting near a large tree. He looked at her and wagged his tail. Laiza quickly ran toward him and hugged him tightly. “I found you! Don't run away again, okay?” she said. Thunder happily wagged his tail as if he understood her. Laiza took Thunder home safely. She was relieved to have found her beloved puppy, but she also realized that taking care of a pet meant being responsible for its safety at all times. From that day on, Laiza promised to keep a closer eye on Thunder whenever they went outside. She continued to give him food, water, love, and care. Laiza learned that loving an animal was not only about playing with it and giving it food. It also meant protecting it, keeping it safe, and being responsible for its well-being.
