Barnaby’s Big 15 Days

Leo stares wide-eyed at the fluffy golden puppy sitting in a cardboard box, his tail wagging like a windshield wiper. Today is Day One of their big adventure, and Leo holds a small guidebook titled How to Train Your Dog in 15 Days. The living room is bright and filled with the excitement of a new beginning.

The house is a bit of a mess with chewed slippers and spilled water, but Leo stays calm and focused. He kneels on the soft rug, repeating the name Barnaby and giving a tiny treat every time the puppy looks into his eyes. They are learning the very first rule of friendship: listening to one another.

Barnaby walks perfectly by Leo's side, ignoring a dropped ice cream cone and a passing bicycle with impressive focus. It is Day Fifteen, and Leo sits on the porch steps with his arm around a much calmer, happier Barnaby. They have both learned so much about trust, patience, and the hard work it takes to be a team. Their 15-day journey is over, but their lifetime of friendship is only just beginning.
