Leo and the Circle of Life

Under the big, warm sun, Leo the Little Lion wakes up in the tall, golden grass. He has a soft, fuzzy mane and lets out a very big, sleepy yawn.

Look at the green grass growing tall and strong in the bright morning sunlight. The grass is the very beginning of the big world's lunch.

A group of striped zebras comes to visit, munching happily on the sweet green grass. Their black and white stripes wiggle as they chew their crunchy snack.

Leo hides in the bushes with his big paws tucked in, watching the zebras from far away. He is learning how to be a brave and patient king of the savanna.

Leo's tummy gives a little rumble, telling him it is finally time to find something to eat. He creeps through the grass, moving as quiet as a tiny mouse.

With a playful pounce and a fast run, Leo chases the zebras across the wide open plains. Everyone is moving fast under the beautiful, bright blue sky.

After a busy day of hunting and playing, Leo enjoys his meal in the cool shade. This is how nature keeps all the animals in the wild strong and healthy.

Leo feels very full and very sleepy, so he curls up for a long nap in the dirt. The warm wind whistles a soft lullaby through the leafy acacia trees.

When the big rain clouds come, they water the earth and help the green grass grow back even taller. The cycle of the savanna starts all over again for the animals.

Leo looks out over his beautiful home and knows he is a very special part of the world. The sun sets, painting the sky in pretty colors of orange and purple.
