May your curiosity always lead you to new horizons, and may your heart always find the colors in between. THE ADVENTURES Journey 1: India (The Glow of the Pearl) Meet our little explorers! Rid is a curious boy who loves old maps and big adventures. Aish is a little artist who sees the world in bright, happy colors and always has her crayons ready. Their journey begins in India at the beautiful Taj Mahal. As the sun peeks out, the white walls glow like a giant pearl. Rid shows Aish where they are on his map, while Aish uses her pink crayon to draw the morning sky. Journey 2: Japan (The Neon Lights) Next, they fly across the ocean to Japan! In the middle of Tokyo, they find the famous Shibuya Crossing. There are so many people, but Rid and Aish stay close together. Rid checks his little silver watch to see how fast the city moves. Aish looks up at the tall buildings and the glowing neon signs. She uses her brightest crayons to draw the colorful lights while they wait for the "walk" signal to flash. Journey 3: France (The View from Above) "Look how high we are!" Aish calls out. They are in France, climbing the tall iron stairs of the Eiffel Tower. The wind whistles through the metal beams as they go up, up, up! From the very top, they can see all of Paris. Rid tells Aish how the tower was built long ago, and Aish holds onto her sun hat tightly so it doesn't blow away while she looks at the tiny cars below. Journey 4: Morocco (The Golden Dunes) The air gets very warm as they arrive in Morocco. They are in the Sahara Desert, riding tall, bumpy camels across the orange sand. The sun is starting to set, making the dunes look like giant waves of gold. Rid sits tall on his camel, enjoying the quiet of the desert. Aish laughs as her camel takes a big, slow step, and she tries to capture the deep purple of the evening sky with her crayons. Journey 5: Peru (The Misty Mountains) In Peru, they climb high into the misty mountains to find the ruins of Machu Picchu. Rid is so happy to see the ancient stone houses and learn about the people who lived there. Aish finds a soft, fuzzy llama grazing on the grass. She sits down quietly to draw the llama’s long ears and the green mountain peaks hiding behind the puffy white clouds. Journey 6: Italy (The Taste of History) "Mmm, smells like pizza!" Aish says. They are in Italy, sitting right outside the giant, round Colosseum. Rid tells her about the brave people who visited this place a long time ago. They share a big, hot slice of pizza with lots of melting yellow cheese. It is the perfect snack for two little explorers after a long day of seeing history. Journey 7: Iceland (The Dancing Magic) Brrr! It is very chilly in Iceland. Rid and Aish wrap themselves in thick, fuzzy coats and long scarves. They stand out in the dark night and look up at the sky. Suddenly, bright green and blue lights begin to dance above them! It is the Aurora Borealis. Rid and Aish stand close together, watching the lights wave like magic ribbons in the cold, crisp air. Journey 8: Tanzania (The King’s Mane) They travel to Tanzania for a real adventure in Serengeti National Park! They ride in a big green jeep with an open top. Suddenly, Rid points to the tall, yellow grass. A golden lion is resting there, looking very royal. Aish stays very still and uses her golden crayon to draw the lion's beautiful mane while Rid whispers a story about the king of the animals. Journey 9: China (The Stone Dragon) In China, Rid and Aish walk along the Great Wall. It is like a stone dragon that goes on forever over the green hills! Rid explains how the wall was built to protect the land. They walk up and down the stone steps, looking out at the beautiful green trees. Aish thinks the wall looks like a giant, bumpy ribbon hugging the earth, and she draws the tiny trees in the distance. Journey 10: USA (The Torch of Home) The last stop on their big trip is New York City in the USA! They take a boat ride across the blue water. The Statue of Liberty stands tall, holding her torch high to welcome them home. Rid looks at the giant skyscrapers through his binoculars, and Aish draws the crown of the statue.
