Our Love Story My name is Rohila, and my husband’s name is Vasudev. Our journey began on February 13, 2025, when we met online through a marriage broker. From that day, we started texting each other regularly. On February 15, 2025, his parents came to my house to see me. I was extremely nervous that day. Later that same evening, Vasudev and I had our first video call. I was very nervous, but he initiated the call and started the conversation so calmly. During that call, I realized that he was actually a friend of my brother. From the very first video call, I started falling in love with him. The way he spoke, his clarity about life, his expectations from his future wife, and his vision for the future made me admire him deeply. At that very moment, I decided that I wanted to marry only him. However, he needed some time to decide because he was going through a job change. At that time, he was in Canada, and I was in India. After about 20 days, he finally said yes to me. Even then, we had not met each other in person, but our marriage date was fixed. He came to India on April 24, 2025, and that was the first day we met in person, at the airport. The moment we saw each other, we hugged instantly. We both smiled and said, “You look even more beautiful in real life.” We asked each other, “Do you like me now?” That day became even more special when we shared our first kiss, and he proposed to me at the airport by giving me a ring. It was one of the most memorable days of my life. After that, we started shopping for our wedding. The next day, we went on our first date to a cycling area in Hyderabad. Later, we had our pre-wedding shoot, watched a movie together, and on the same day, he gifted me a Polaroid camera, which was my dream gift. On May 9, 2025, we went to our native place and got married. After our wedding, we visited Tirupati Venkateswara Temple, which became our first devotional trip together, traveling by bus. We also spent time going out in Hyderabad—visiting Snow World, playing indoor games, and spending time in malls. Vasudev stayed in India until June 11, 2025, and then he returned to Canada. After that, he applied for my visa. My visa was approved within two months, but those two months were very difficult for us, with many emotional disturbances and challenges. Finally, I came to Canada on October 2, 2025. When we met again, we were extremely happy. That moment marked the beginning of our life together, and today we are living happily, grateful for every step of our journey.
