Little Noah sat under a big tree, watching the sunset and listening to God's whisper. God told him that a great flood was coming and that he should build a massive boat called an ark to keep his family and animals safe.

Noah didn't quite understand why God wanted him to build a giant boat in the middle of dry land, but he knew he must trust God. With strong wood and a heavy hammer, he started to build.

Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, came to help. They worked hard, laughing and singing as they measured and sawed long pieces of gopher wood.

People in the village watched them and giggled. 'Why are you building a boat out here?' they asked. Noah just smiled and said, 'God told us to! He will keep us safe.'

Day after day, the ark grew bigger and bigger. Noah painted it with sticky, black pitch to make it waterproof, covering every single crack, just like God had instructed.

When the ark was finally finished, God told Noah it was time. He said, 'Bring two of every kind of animal, a male and a female, into the ark with you.'

First, the gentle giraffes arrived, towering high above Noah. They lowered their long necks to peer inside their cozy new home.

Then came the playful elephants, trunk-to-tail, trumpet-call echoing as they lumbered onto the ramp, their large feet making loud thumps.

Fuzzy brown bears walked side-by-side, their paws soft on the wooden planks, heading towards the warm, straw-filled pens.

Lions with magnificent, flowing manes padded quietly along, followed by bouncy kangaroos, who hopped excitedly right up the ramp and into the ark.

Even the tiniest creatures came, two by two. Snail-paced turtles and hopping green frogs found their small spots inside.

Last of all, the colorful birds flew in, a rainbow of feathers and chirping songs filling the ark as they settled on wooden perches.

When everyone was safely inside, God Himself closed the massive, heavy door of the ark, sealing it tight against the outside world.

The sky grew dark and cloudy. Soon, tiny rain droplets started to fall, plinking on the ark's roof. Then, the rain fell harder and harder.

It rained for forty days and forty nights. Water covered the fields, the trees, and even the highest mountains. But inside the ark, Noah, his family, and all the animals were warm and safe.

ly, the rain stopped. The clouds rolled away, and the bright sun began to dry the earth. The water went down and down until the ark rested gently on top of a tall mountain called Ararat.

Noah opened a small window and sent out a raven, but it just flew back and forth. Then, he sent a dove, who came back with a fresh green olive branch in its beak! Noah knew the water was almost gone.

God told Noah, 'It is time to go out!' Noah opened the big door, and the animals happily bounded out, eager to stretch their legs and explore the new world.

Noah and his family built an altar to thank God for keeping them safe through the great flood. They knelt down and prayed, feeling very grateful.

Look up! A beautiful, bright rainbow stretched across the sky. God said, 'This rainbow is my promise to you. I will never flood the entire earth again.' From that day on, whenever people saw a rainbow, they remembered God's promise and Little Noah's big boat.
