It was a bright Thursday afternoon when the police department got a phone call. Well, they had gotten multiple recently, all of them basically saying the same thing. “A car going southbound on the freeway, had crossed the area between the two freeways, and head on collided with a car going northbound. It was a wreck, a bad one. The cars were very damaged, and the car that had been rammed into, had rolled a few times before coming to a halt. They had gotten at least 4 of these phone calls, and had already sent numerous people out. That’s when their phone rang again. But this time, it wasn’t an adult. It was a little boy, maybe 7 at most. His voice was distant, and his responses were very hesitant. The police department waited until the officer said “hello?” The boy responded “hi” it was shaky and there was a wetness mixed in. He didn’t know the date, or where he was, then they asked his name “Liam” they asked his age, he didn’t respond for a minute, his responses were getting more delayed, they were tracking the phone as they talked. And at some point found it was at the collision site all the other calls had been about. He finally responded about the age “6”, then he said “is blood supposed to come out?” At this point they were trying to keep him on the line until other first responders came. He wanted his parents, (his mom was a firefighter and his dad was a surgeon), this will follow him through this scene, the ambulance, and then the hospital. He broke his leg badly, had to get staples im his head, and some more
