After the grand exhibition, Muffin kindly placed the marrow back in the garden so the mouse family could live there comfortably for the rest of the summer. He then surprised Louise with a beautiful, long necklace made from the marrow seeds to thank her for her brilliant idea.

И все тут же посмотрели, куда он показывал. Внизу, у самой земли, в кабачке была маленькая круглая дырочка. - Вылезайте! – закричал Пингвин Перигрин сердито. И вот они вылезли — целая семейка мышей! — Испортили мой кабачок! — прошептал он. — Совершенно испортили! Как я его теперь повезу на выставку? — У меня идея! - взволнованно проблеяла овечка Луиза. — Пускай Мафин выставит свой кабачок в отделе, который называется «Необыкновенное употребление обыкновенных овощей». Я уверена, что никто никогда и не слышал о кабачке — мышином домике, то есть, я хочу сказать, домике для мышей. Это прекрасная мысль! — закричал Мафин. И когда Луиза увидела его благодарный взгляд, она была так счастлива и горда, Мафин и его друзья важно проследовали в самый центр выставочного зала. Наконец пришли двое судей и единогласно решили, что кабачок-домик самый необыкновенный экспонат на выставке. Один судья подошёл к Мафину и повесил ему на шею медаль. После выставки Мафин положил кабачок обратно на грядку, где тот рос, чтобы мышки могли жить в нём до конца лета.
