Sometimes it's the small things that will affect your life the most, or that's what optimistic people say. The mall has been quite empty for a while now, it looked a bit liminal, my bedtime alarm had rung a few hours back, I hadnt gotten any notifiction since then. My attention shifted to the stinging pain of the shiopping bags digging into my skin on my wrists and shoulders. Which reminded me I mightve spent more than my current budget, but that's a problem for me. My eyes wandered around the area to distract myself from the worry. Until... I saw her. Riana. Her whole outfit screamed cool, maybe too cool for me. I tried to shift closer to her to possibly catch her attention but more to see what pins she has on her bag. Before I knew it, she noticed me and stared, then opened her mouth. "Hey, I like your bag." I felt like a total creep! My brain short circuted as I trip over my word. "Oh? bwuh- I thanks.. I like you shirt- and bag. Is that my chemical romance?" She followed my gaze to what I pointed at. "Oh, yes! It's hard to find fans of them here. You listen to them?" "Of course! They're like, the epitome of what people call 'emo' music?". we clicked, We started talking about bands, fandoms, anime and other random things we both obsess over. Eventually after a while. She brought up the topic of exchanging numbers,I easily complied and gave her my number. Boom! I unlocked a new friend. We don't text as often nowadays but honesty, it was nice meeting her. Sometimes a small moment like that is enough.
