Let's Play!

Leo sat alone at a small table in the Honeysuckle Classroom. He watched the other children playing with blocks, cars, and art supplies. Leo felt a little shy and wasn't sure how to join in the fun.

Suddenly, Lily and Tom were building a tall tower. They needed more blocks! Leo really wanted to play with them, but he didn't know what to do. He wiggled his toes and looked at his shoes.

Leo took a deep breath. He walked over to Lily and Tom. He held out his hands and said, "Can I help build the tower?" Lily and Tom looked up and smiled, inviting him to join their game.

Together, the three children built an amazing tower, laughing and sharing blocks. Next, they decided to build a road for their toy cars. Leo realized that playing together was much more fun than playing alone.

Later, Leo wanted to paint, but all the easels were taken. He saw Sarah painting and walked up to her. He asked politely, "Sarah, can I paint with you when you're done?" Sarah smiled and said, "Yes!"

At the end of the day, Leo felt happy and proud. He had learned that it's okay to ask to play, and playing with friends is the best part of the day! He couldn't wait to come back to the Honeysuckle Classroom tomorrow.
