Dora (Narrator): It’s Christmas Eve in Santa’s Toy Shop! Santa and Mrs. Claus are working hard to finish the presents before morning. Bryan (Santa): Ho ho ho! Mrs. Claus, how many more toys do we have to wrap? Bella (Mrs. Claus): Almost finished, Santa. The toys are looking wonderful this year. (Santa yawns and stretches.) Bryan (Santa): Let’s get some sleep before our big night! (Santa and Mrs. Claus exit or pretend to sleep. The lights dim slightly.) Dora (Narrator): When the workshop gets quiet… something magical happens. The toys come to life! ________________________________________ Scene 2: The Toys Wake Up (The toys stretch and start to move.) Derek (Teddy Bear): Good evening, everyone! It’s almost Christmas. I hope I go to a child who loves hugs! I give the best hugs! Uny (Doll): Hmph! No, no! I give the best hugs. I think I’m the most special toy. Every child loves a beautiful doll. Freya (Robot): Beep boop! That’s not true. Robots are amazing! We can move, talk, and light up! Look! (robot moves like a robot) Cynthia (Train): Choo-choo! But can you go fast? I can go fast around the Christmas tree. Everyone loves trains! Domi (Jack-in-the-Box): Boing! Surprise! (Every toy gets a fright) I make people laugh all day! (Every toy laughs in unison) Bruce (Ball): Bounce, bounce! Kick, throw, catch! Kids play with me everywhere! Alan (Puzzle): But do you help children think and learn? I make children smart. That makes me the best toy! Amy (Book): What about me? I help children learn how to read. I also make children smart! (They begin talking over each other, playfully arguing.) Uny (Doll): No, I’m the best! Freya (Robot): No, me! Cynthia (Train): Choo-choo! No I’m the best! Dora (Narrator): Oh dear! The toys are arguing. They all want to be Santa’s most special gift. ________________________________________ Scene 3: A Visitor Arrives (A door creaks open. Harry enters slowly, looking amazed.) Dora (Narrator): Just then, a little child peeked inside Santa’s workshop. His clothes were old, but his eyes were full of wonder. Harry (Poor Child): Wow… so many toys! I’ve never seen anything like this. Look at this cute teddy bear. (The toys freeze in surprise. Then Derek the Teddy Bear steps forward.) Derek (Teddy Bear): Hello, little one! Don’t be scared. We won’t hurt you. (one by one, each toy comes alive again) Harry (Poor Child): Are you… are you talking toys? Uny (Doll): Yes, we are! Would you like to play with us? Harry (Poor Child): I would love to… but I don’t have any toys at home. (The toys all look at each other sadly.) Dora (Narrator): The toys fell quiet. They had never met a child with no toys before. Bryan (Santa) [offstage or re-entering]: Ho ho ho! What’s all this noise? Bella (Mrs. Claus): Santa, look! This child doesn’t have any toys. Bryan (Santa): Then we must give him something very special tonight. ________________________________________ Scene 4: The Toys Learn About Giving Freya (Robot): He can have me! I can dance and sing! Cynthia (Train): Choo-choo! He can have me! I’ll take him on adventures! Domi (Jack-in-the-Box): He can have me! I’ll make him laugh every day! Amy & Alan (Book & Puzzle) And he can play with us. We will make him smart! (Each toy steps forward proudly, and embraces the poor boy.) Dora (Narrator): One by one, each toy offered to go with the boy. They finally understood — every toy brings joy in its own way. Harry (Poor Child): Thank you, everyone. You’re all so wonderful. This is the best Christmas ever. Bryan (Santa): That’s the true spirit of Christmas — giving and sharing love. Bella (Mrs. Claus): And being thankful for what we have. Dora (Narrator): The toys learned that it’s not about being the best toy — it’s about making others happy. (All characters step forward.) All (together): Merry Christmas, everyone!
