In the heart of a giant, sunlit workshop lies the Great Ceramic Colony, a sprawling city of porcelain towers and terra cotta streets. Cera, a small porcelain girl with delicate blue floral patterns on her skin, gazes out at the shimmering glazed horizon. The air smells of warm earth and ancient kilns, and every building hums with a faint, musical ring.

While exploring the base of the Central Kiln-Tower, the source of all warmth in the colony, Cera discovers a terrifying sight. A jagged, spider-web crack is spreading across the foundation, threatening to shatter the heart of her world. If the heat escapes, the delicate citizens will become brittle and turn to dust.

Cera seeks counsel from the Elder Potter, a wise figure whose surface is covered in a beautiful, weathered patina. He tells her of the legendary Golden Glaze, a mystical substance hidden deep within the Caverns of Clay that can repair any fracture. Bravely, Cera packs a small satchel and prepares to venture beyond the city walls for the first time.

Her journey begins in the Painted Plains, a vibrant landscape where the grass is made of thin glass shards and the flowers are hand-painted silk. There she meets Terra, a sturdy but shy golem made of unbaked clay who is searching for his own purpose. Terra agrees to help Cera navigate the treacherous terrain, promising to protect her from accidental tumbles.

The duo reaches the River of Slip, a slow-moving, viscous stream of liquid clay that blocks their path to the mountains. They find a giant, discarded tea saucer resting by the bank and use it as a makeshift boat. Cera paddles through the thick, swirling currents while Terra keeps the vessel steady against the heavy waves.

A sudden storm of firing-embers rains down from the sky, turning the air orange and threatening to overheat their delicate frames. They scramble for cover and find refuge inside an ancient, giant teapot buried halfway in the sandy earth. As the embers hiss against the porcelain walls, Cera and Terra share stories of their home, forging a deep bond of friendship.

They finally arrive at the Caverns of Clay, where the walls are damp and the air is thick with the scent of raw minerals. To proceed, they must solve a puzzle of rotating mosaic tiles that shimmer in the darkness. Cera uses her keen eye for patterns to align the tiles, revealing a hidden path that glows with a soft, subterranean light.
