In a world where mountains sometimes changed shape and rivers could flow upward, there existed the Mysterious Nine Moons Archipelago. On one of its islands lived a noisy and very unusual crew of travelers. There were exactly twenty of them. No one remembered exactly how they had come together: some had come from the northern icy plains, some from the sunny deserts, and some had simply woken up on the island one day and decided to stay. But together, they became a truly legendary crew. One morning, the sky suddenly darkened, and a star fell right in the middle of their camp. It didn't shatter—in fact, it turned into a small, shining ball. The ball spoke: "I am the Guide Star. If you carry me to the top of Black Mountain before sunset, I will grant you one wish." Of course, all twenty travelers immediately agreed. They set out through the Forest of Whispering Trees. The trees there conversed with each other and sometimes deliberately obscured their path. "They're circling us!" someone from the crew said. Then one of the travelers began to loudly sing a strange song. The trees were so surprised that they stopped whispering and parted, allowing a path. Further on, the Lake of Mirror Fish awaited them. Fish swam in the water, reflecting not faces, but life's most embarrassing moments. They all took turns peering into the water... and a second later they were laughing so loudly that the fish took fright and swam away. But at the foot of Black Mountain, a huge stone giant stopped them. "No one can climb this mountain," he thundered. "Only those who aren't afraid of the strangeness of this world." The travelers exchanged glances. "We were just talking to the trees." "The fish laughed at us." "And there are still twenty of us—we can survive anything." The giant looked at them for a long moment... and then burst out laughing. “Then come in. I’ve never seen such a strange crew.” They reached the summit just before sunset. The star shone brighter and asked: “What wish will you make?” The twenty discussed for a long time. Some offered wealth. Some offered magical powers. Some offered their own floating island. But in the end, they said: “Make our adventures never end.” The star flashed golden light and disappeared. Since then, strange things have been happening all over the archipelago: flying jellyfish, singing volcanoes, talking shadows. And whenever a new wild adventure begins somewhere, the islanders immediately understand: that same team of twenty travelers is somewhere nearby again.
