The Gym Management System: E-Commerce Application combines a number of processes and systems to automate and efficiently manage member information, class bookings, trainer schedules, subscription payments, and attendance tracking. The management of gym operations, such as membership enrollment, class allocation, and payment processing, is one of the core responsibilities of a gym. Traditionally, many gyms relied on conventional methods such as manual record-keeping, paper-based registration forms, and in-person transactions to manage members and services. In the conventional method, membership registration, class booking, and payment processing were handled manually. This process was time-consuming, prone to errors, required excessive paperwork, and was difficult to manage, especially when the number of members increased. Hence, the need for an automated Gym Management System that is faster, error-free, reduces paperwork, and is easy to manage. The system was developed using a three-tier software architectural model and implemented with webbased technologies, including CSS, JS, HTML, PHP, and MySQL, running on a Windows operating system.
